A rare collectible is turning heads in two very different fandoms. A 3‑inch Flamin’ Hot Cheeto, intricately shaped to resemble Pokémon’s iconic Charizard, recently sold at auction for $87,840. The auction, held by the New Jersey-based Goldin Auction House, showcased this unique item—dubbed “Cheetozard”—affixed to a customized Pokémon card and securely enclosed in a clear storage box.
Discovered and preserved sometime between 2018 and 2022 by 1st & Goal Collectibles, the Cheetozard quickly became a hot commodity among collectors. With an initial bid of only $250, the piece attracted 60 bids, ultimately fetching a staggering final price that highlights its status as a one-of-a-kind novelty.

Dave Amerman, head of consignment at Goldin, explained, “Our auction house specializes in rare and one-of-a-kind collectibles, and the Cheetozard perfectly bridges the gap between Pokémon and Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. It’s a fun and unexpected item that drew interest from collectors worldwide.”
The sale of the Cheetozard underscores the quirky intersections of pop culture and the collector’s market. Pokémon, a franchise that began in 1989 and has since grown into a global phenomenon, continues to inspire fan creations and memorabilia. Meanwhile, Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, a staple snack since 1948, represents a longstanding American favorite. Together, they create an unforgettable collectible that captures the imagination of enthusiasts from both worlds.
As the auction results continue to spark conversation online, the Cheetozard serves as a reminder that sometimes the most bizarre objects can become the most sought-after treasures.
