In a heartwarming yet infuriating tale, a pizza delivery driver in Indiana braved a treacherous snowstorm to complete a delivery in a wealthy neighborhood—only to be tipped $2 for his heroic effort. The story of Connor Stephanoff, an employee at Rock Star Pizza, has now gone viral thanks to the intervention of Avon Police Lieutenant Richard Craig.
Connor’s dedication was put to the test when he encountered a roadblock caused by a school bus accident while attempting to deliver a $40 pizza order. Determined not to let the customer down, Connor parked his car and trekked half a mile through snow-covered streets, wearing only sweatpants, a sweater, sneakers, and a beanie.
While assisting with traffic at the scene, Lt. Craig spotted Connor walking through the snow. Concerned, he stopped him and asked about his situation. Upon learning that Connor was delivering pizza in such perilous conditions, Craig was stunned by his work ethic. However, his disbelief turned to outrage when Connor revealed he’d received a meager $2 tip for his efforts.
“Are you kidding me?” Craig exclaimed in disbelief. “This man walked through hell and high water to deliver a pizza.”
Moved by Connor’s dedication and the underwhelming tip, Craig gave him $15 out of his own wallet and later shared the story on TikTok. His post quickly gained traction, with many expressing outrage over the customer’s lack of generosity.
Craig didn’t stop there—he launched a GoFundMe campaign with a modest goal of $500 to reward Connor for his hard work. The campaign resonated with people worldwide, and within days, it had raised over $16,000.
Rock Star Pizza also praised Connor in a Facebook post, describing him as a hardworking and dependable employee. “He’s a great kid who works hard, and we’re so happy to have him,” the restaurant wrote, adding that workers were given the option to stay home during the storm, but Connor chose to work.
Connor himself remains humble, saying, “Any condition, anytime, anywhere—you will get your pizza.” Thanks to Lt. Craig and the kindness of strangers, Connor’s story is now an inspiring example of resilience and community support.
