In a shocking twist, 68-year-old Jenny Phenix from Florida was banned from a three-year cruise she had planned to embark on after selling all her possessions. Her dream to sail aboard the Villa Vie Odyssey came to a crashing halt due to leaked private WhatsApp messages where she expressed frustrations over the ship’s repeated delays.
Phenix had sold her businesses and belongings, preparing for the three-year cruise, but faced long delays. The cruise, originally slated to depart in May, faced a series of setbacks, leaving passengers frustrated. The ship’s certifications had expired during the COVID-19 pandemic, and its launch was repeatedly postponed.
While venting her frustrations in a WhatsApp group with other passengers, her messages were reportedly leaked to the ship’s owner. She was accused of “impacting community morale” and banned from the cruise. Despite receiving support from fellow passengers, the cruise management canceled her reservation, stating it was due to her behavior.
Phenix, now left with no home, has returned to Florida, living with her daughter while seeking a new direction. She expressed her heartbreak over the situation, stating, “They took that dream from me without a thought.”
