A woman in Bandung City, Indonesia, found herself in an unusual predicament when her nose ring got tangled in the mesh backing of an office chair. What started as a casual moment of playing with her new piercing turned into a hilarious rescue mission that even firefighters couldn’t forget.
According to local reports, the woman had been sticking her nose through the chair’s mesh for fun when the jewelry got firmly lodged. Security footage shows her coworkers attempting to pull her free, wheeling the chair around the room as she sat backward, visibly distressed. Despite their efforts, the nose ring refused to budge, forcing them to call the local fire department for help.

Firefighters arrived and tried their hand at freeing her on-site, but their initial attempts proved unsuccessful. They eventually transported her—still attached to the chair—to the fire station where they had access to more tools.
In a bid to ease the tension, the rescue team jokingly pulled out heavy-duty equipment, including a chainsaw and axe, teasingly threatening to cut her loose. Fortunately, all it took was a simple pair of pliers to untangle the piercing after about 10 minutes of delicate work.

“The incident wasn’t the strangest call we’ve ever had,” firefighter Mochamad Alam Priabadi shared, adding that their team had previously dealt with freeing stuck fingers and even more unconventional situations. However, the nose ring debacle certainly left an impression on everyone involved.
The woman escaped the ordeal uninjured and took the incident in good humor, posing for photos with the firefighters, her chair, and the infamous nose ring.
This lighthearted rescue serves as a reminder: some office pranks are best left unplayed!
