A car sale in Malaysia took an unexpected and uncomfortable turn after a woman offered sex to cover a RM7,000 (US$1,600) shortfall for a used BMW.
The seller, a man from Penang, had listed his second-hand BMW for RM18,000 (US$4,100). He was soon contacted by a woman interested in the vehicle, who told him she only had RM11,000 (US$2,500) — and proposed to make up the rest with sexual favours.

“Do You Not Want Sex?”
According to the seller, who goes by Mfa Bob on social media, the woman repeatedly contacted him, confirming the car’s details and assuring him she was indeed a woman. In a Facebook post made on April 22, he shared that the woman boldly asked:
“[I’m] serious. Do you not want sex?”

She even claimed her husband was aware of her offer and supported her decision.
“She Was Willing to Trade Her Dignity”
The stunned man shared screenshots of their exchanges, saying the entire situation had left him feeling traumatised. In his words:
“Money is not worth trading your dignity.”
Despite the pressure and multiple calls from the woman, he stood firm, insisting he was only interested in cash payment.
“Whoever has RM18,000, just let me know,” he said in a follow-up post.
Frustrated with the difficulty of selling cars, he later joked:
“I might take the offer if the BMW is still not sold by next week.”
Online Reactions & Concerns
His post quickly went viral, gathering over 6,000 reactions and 800 comments. While many were shocked, others expressed concern about the woman’s proposal — and her husband’s approval.
“What kind of man would trade his wife’s dignity for a car?” one commenter asked.
Others were skeptical and suspected a scam, warning:
“Beware of scammers who use sex as bait to phish those who fall for it.”
Legal Grey Area
While prostitution is not explicitly outlawed under Malaysia’s Penal Code, soliciting sex and profiting from it are criminalised.
