A Kentucky woman is behind bars after allegedly wreaking havoc on her ex-boyfriend’s car — using everything from salt to glitter — before posing for a glam mugshot that quickly caught attention.

According to the Richmond Police Department, 31-year-old Stephanie Carlquist allegedly went on a destructive spree after an argument with her ex earlier this summer.
Police say the damage began on July 6, when Carlquist slashed one of the car’s tires. After another dispute on July 15, she allegedly escalated, pouring salt into the gas tank, stuffing glitter into the AC vents, cracking the windshield and rearview mirror, and shattering the radio screen.
A tow company later took the car to a Goodyear shop in Richmond, where mechanics determined the vehicle was “damaged beyond repair” with losses totaling about $12,464.96.

Authorities said Carlquist confessed to the tow truck driver as he picked up the car, and the driver then notified the victim’s mother. Not long after, Carlquist allegedly messaged her ex on Instagram, apologizing and saying she had been stressed because of her pregnancy.
When interviewed by police, Carlquist admitted to some of the acts — including putting glitter in the vents and cracking the windshield — but claimed the rest of the damage was due to the car being “overdue” for an oil change and other repairs.
She was arrested and booked at the Madison County Detention Center on felony criminal mischief charges. Carlquist is being held on a $12,000 bond.
Her mugshot — featuring a wide smile and polished look — has since gone viral, with many online users calling it “glam” despite the serious charges.
