Texas Woman Arrested After Allegedly Attempting to Flush Fetus at Whataburger

A shocking incident unfolded at a Whataburger in San Antonio, Texas, where a 33-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly attempting to flush a fetus down the toilet.

The woman, identified as Mallori Strait, reportedly entered the fast-food restaurant around noon and spent hours inside, according to authorities. She sat in the lobby for nearly two hours before heading into the restroom, where employees heard disturbing noises coming from a stall.

Concerned for her well-being, the restaurant manager checked on Strait multiple times, even providing her with water, but eventually called the police for assistance.

When deputies from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office arrived, they found a devastating scene in the restroom. A fetus was discovered in the toilet. Both Strait and the fetus—a girl—were rushed to a local hospital. Tragically, the newborn was pronounced dead.

Medical experts later confirmed that Strait was in her third trimester, estimated to be 28 to 30 weeks pregnant. Authorities have since charged her with abuse of a corpse.

The investigation remains ongoing as officials work to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident and the cause of the fetus’s death.

This tragic event has sparked discussions about mental health, maternal support, and the resources available to women in distress.
