It’s not every day that a global pop star “marries” a fan while signing autographs—but that’s precisely what happened to Louis Tomlinson on his Faith In The Future tour.
During a stop in Jakarta, a cheeky fan, known on TikTok as @ladycryalot, managed to pull off a hilarious stunt that left her with a story for the ages. Armed with a fake marriage certificate featuring her and Louis, she asked the singer to sign it, turning an innocent meet-and-greet into a “wedding ceremony.”
Louis, clearly amused, caught on as soon as he saw the document. “What’s this? Some kind of declaration of marriage, is it?” he joked, before signing it anyway. The fan later shared her “married life” update on TikTok, humorously declaring, “I went there single, but I came back a married woman. I’m Louis Tomlinson’s lawfully wedded wife!”
The TikTok video, which now has over 136k views, shows just how game Louis was for the bit. After signing the certificate, he joked with the fan’s friend, saying, “I’ll have to come back to Jakarta if my wife wants me to.”
Though the playful exchange delighted fans, it’s worth noting that Indonesian law requires much more than a signature to make a marriage official. But that hasn’t stopped this fan from claiming her spot as Louis’ unofficial “Jakarta wife.”
So, if you’re still dreaming of being Mrs. Tomlinson, don’t worry—there’s plenty of hope left!
