LeAnn Rimes Loses Teeth Mid-Concert, Handles It Like a Pro: “The Show Must Go On”

LeAnn Rimes had an unexpected on-stage mishap during her recent concert at The Skagit Casino Resort in Washington — and handled it like a total professional.

The 42-year-old country singer was performing her hit song “One Way Ticket” on Friday when she suddenly felt something unusual in her mouth.
“I feel something pop in my mouth,” Rimes explained in a video she posted to Instagram the following day. “If you’ve been around, you know I’ve had a lot of dental surgeries, and I have a bridge in the front. It fell out in the middle of my song.”

Caught off guard, Rimes briefly ran to the side of the stage to push her dental bridge back into place before returning to finish the performance — with a smile.

Instead of pretending it didn’t happen, Rimes chose to be honest with the crowd.
“I just had to get real with everybody and tell them exactly what was happening or else I would have had to walk off stage,” she said. “So, for the rest of the show, I was literally like this, pushing my teeth in.”

She even joked that the experience made her realize how difficult it is to sing certain sounds — especially with missing teeth.
“‘Can’t Fight the Moonlight’ — the teeth completely fell in my mouth again,” she laughed. “That song has a lot of Fs, THs, and SHs!”

Despite the embarrassment, Rimes called it “the most epic experience ever.” She added, “I don’t usually have firsts in my career — that was a first and hopefully a last.”

Rimes went on to reassure fans that her teeth were “in for now,” but warned the front row of her next show to be on alert:
“If you catch them, please return them,” she joked.

On a more serious note, Rimes said she shared the moment to remind people — especially fellow performers — that mistakes happen and that you just have to roll with it.
“There wasn’t a f***ing thing I could do about it except either walk off or just hold my teeth in, so I just ran with it,” she said. “The show can go on, even in the midst of sheer, utter embarrassment.”

And to prove she can still laugh about it, Rimes posted a backstage video of herself singing Miley Cyrus’ “More to Lose” while poking fun at the dental disaster, writing:
“Nothing more to lose, when you’ve already lost your teeth and dignity on stage 😂”
